Protect children from violent in Sudan

The project activities aim to provide protection services for most vulnerable children who affected by ongoing conflict in Khartoum and Darfur, protection services such as psychosocial support, Gender Based Violence (GBV), as well as provide cloths and food. Since conflict has started in Sudan mainly in Khartoum and Darfur region, children are become targeted of violence. OCHA and UNCIEF reported there are many children has been killed and injured in Khartoum, Darfur as we as different conflict zone in others states.

on October 2023, Almasheesh for Peace and Development Organization was planned for intervention to providing services for children who displaced from Khartoum into Algazira state( Wad Madani) through this project, and that plan already were discussed with our partner GlobalGiving (emergency and disaster staffs). But unfortunately the conflict between Rapid Support Forces and Sudan Army Forces has expanded to Wad Madani in December 2023. This dramatically accident forced all organizations to suspended their operations in Algazira state (Wad Madani) even Almasheesh. Snice that time Almasheesh faced challenges to escalate has operation in a new area because lost our assets in all our offices from Khartoum, South Darfur and last one in Wad Madani, those obstacles prevent Almasheesh to continue has operation in new area.

Another thing also impacted in our operation it was inflation and challenges to receive money of project activities from abroad in our bank account, in this causes GlobalGiving was transferred amount of 640 Dollar in order to start activities of the project. However, due to banking system not functioned well we didn’t receive the money through bank transfer. So all those reason were effected on activities implementation.

To shape these challenges, Almasheesh has opened a new office in Ugandan (Kamapla) to provide services for Sudanese refugees in Beilai Refugee camp as well as Sudanese refugees in kamapla addition to that it will be help to back up our offices in Sudan for escalating the operation to provide humanitarian assistance. However, very soon through collaboration with GlobalGiving, Almasheesh for Peace and Development Organization will start to implement activities of the project targeting Sudanese children refugees in Uganda. Regularly reports will updating with GlobalGiving, donors and supporters.

anyhow, Almasheesh has full commitment to keep donors and supporters updated about where their money goes through submitting reports, documents and evident ( photos, video articles , success stories).
