May 2024 was a standout moment for The HUG Project! Our founder, Boom Mosby, along with a few team members, had the incredible honor of meeting Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden and sharing the impactful work we do at The HUG Project. As recipients of support from her foundation, we were deeply moved by Her Majesty’s unwavering dedication to combating online child sexual abuse and exploitation.
During the meeting, Boom had the chance to present and gift Her Majesty a copy of *Exposed*, a handbook sponsored by her foundation and distributed across Thailand. Queen Silvia was the keynote speaker, and Her Majesty Queen Suthida of Thailand also graced the event with a royal speech at the National Child Protection Summit 2024, held at the United Nations in Bangkok. It was a truly inspiring occasion, and we’re profoundly grateful for the experience.
We’re also incredibly thankful for your ongoing support. Your contributions allow us to advocate for and train law enforcement officials, prosecutors, and multidisciplinary teams, all of whom are working to improve the protection of child victims of sex trafficking and online exploitation. Together, we’re promoting child-friendly justice across Thailand.
Our *Exposed* handbook covers essential topics, including:
1. Filing criminal complaints and protecting victims
2. Conducting investigations
3. Search and arrest procedures
4. Identifying victims of online sexual exploitation
5. Roles and responsibilities of inquiry officials
6. Roles and responsibilities of prosecutors and judges
7. Execution of judgments
8. The lives of victims during criminal proceedings
9. Self-care for practitioners
While we can’t publicly release this handbook, as it’s written specifically for law enforcement, we wanted to give you a glimpse into the work we’re doing and the progress we’re making. None of this would be possible without your continued support. Thank you!
