Project Report | Feb 10, 2026
Joy, Care, and New Beginnings

By Cepac Barueri | Organization

The project Protect Brazilian Children of Violence has provided meaningful moments of care, joy, and protection for children and adolescents living in vulnerable situations. During the holiday season, we organized Christmas activities that included a special day trip to a sítio (rural recreational space), moments of play and connection with nature, and the distribution of Christmas gifts. These experiences offered the children not only fun, but also safe spaces to strengthen bonds, feel welcomed, and experience positive memories during a period that can be especially sensitive for many of them.

As this is our first report of the year, we would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all donors who supported this project throughout 2025. Your contributions helped make it possible to maintain protective activities, create moments of joy, and ensure that children and adolescents had access to safe environments where they could simply be children. Your support continues to be essential in sustaining this work and expanding opportunities for those who face daily challenges related to violence and social vulnerability.

One of the children supported by the project shared a beautiful transformation during our recent activities at the sítio. When she first started participating, she was afraid of water and avoided the pool completely. With time, encouragement from educators, and repeated positive experiences in a safe environment, she gradually overcame this fear. Today, she runs to the pool with excitement and joy, proudly showing how confident she has become in the water. This small but meaningful change reflects how safe experiences and caring relationships can help rebuild confidence and open space for new possibilities in the lives of these children.

Through these actions, we continue to strengthen protective bonds, promote well-being, and create positive experiences that contribute to the emotional development of the children and adolescents served by the project.
