Because of our amazing efforts making toilets available to the people of San Raymundo II, the municipality has started building the sewer system!!!!! In order to utilize that system, the toilets are temporariy in storage awaiting the day (in the hopefully near future) when they can be hooked up to that sewer system and truly bring sanitation to the community!
Your continued donations will provide even more sinks, toilets and actual bathrooms for the families in San Raymundo II. It's an amazing transtition from where they were -- pooping in a bag-- when we started this project.
Muchas Gracias and much appreciation for your past...and continuing donations!
Brian O'Riley visited our project in San Raymundo II in late November. As soon as he landed in Guayaquil, he was whisked away to judge the first San Raymundo II Baking Contest. He also was able to participate in the Senior Activities, Children's fun and a Cancer-Screening clinic.
Brian observed first hand what a difference your generosity has made....as you continue to be an important part of helping this tiny, very poor barrio to slowly become a viable community. Gracias!
Dodie Schadlich, our in-country coordinator, is an important part of helping San Raymundo II realize their dream of becoming a vibrant little town. She has been instrumental in spear-heading the sanitation project, the first aid project and will soon add building more houses. She also introduces fun project like the baking competition and organizes senior activities. In the spirit of the Season, she is shown celebrating with the people she is helping us help!
All of us working together is making a HUGE difference and we thank you for your continued support!
