Lots of great progress is happening in the new village of San Raymundo, Ecuador.
Our donations are helping BUILD A VILLAGE! Thanks to generous donations from Airline Ambassadors "Angels", through our virtual mission, a first aid station is being built in the Community Hall and the Nurses Health Training class is funded and scheduled to begin on March 1. Supported by ISA, we provided a Wellness training and food distribution. The community is still benefitting from that training ...especially from our special project: The Honorable trashcans have been distributed throughout the village to be utilized by all (and laughed at by Miss Kate and Miss Doodie!)
The Santa Elena municipality has promised to run sewer lines to the village which is GREAT news. Although they have promised to do so by June, there is no guarantee how soon this project will actually start. So the village will begin by building temporary holes that will easily attach to the sewer system when it is available. This is progress that can not happen without your support.
Continued donations are greatly needed to continue this effort.
And speaking of effort, this video is a great illustration of how the people of San Raymundo approach their "work". Here they are building the first aid station. I look forward to seeing them enjoy building the sanitation system....which will make life healthier for all residents! Gracias for your continued support!
