CAMAAY is a small grassroots organization in Cameroon, working hard to help vulnerable persons and communities by bringing long lasting change. This project is primarily focused on the challenge the whole world is currently facing - COVID-19. We wish to develop a project consisting of several activities whereby children, youths, and the community at large will collaborate by telling their stories during the pandemic that will inspire everyone to collaborate more actively in fighting the pandemic
The COVID-19 Pandemic has affected every community around the world. As Cameroon has already faced crises concerning violence and poverty, the effects of COVID-19 are especially devastating.
The activities include campaigns focused on collecting and sharing stories on how the COVID-19 Pandemic has affected Cameroonians, drawing competitions for school children with the theme of hopes and expectations of the post-pandemic period, online viral challenges and COVID-19 Medical webinars. We belive that it will provide people with an opportunity to connect with others during these difficult times while also reminding them that hope, and reconciliation is soon to come.
For everyone around the world, life as they know it has turned upside down. We believe that by giving them a platform to share their experiences, we could create more international awareness about how the situation in Cameroon but also promote hope and a sense of togetherness among the communities in Cameroon.
