We believe the humanitarian crises unfolding across Europe require a strategic and long-term advocacy approach and sustained pressure from civil society actors. We furthermore believe a regional, national and international response to asylum and migration that upholds the human rights of people seeking refuge in Europe is perfectly possible. In 2020, we will continue calling for change, from ensuring humane living conditions in transit points to stopping the obstruction of asylum procedures.
A severe human crisis and child protection failure are unfolding in Europe. Refugees and displaced people arriving to seek sanctuary here are experiencing wide-ranging human rights violations and inhumane living conditions. We are convinced that this human suffering is unnecessary and avoidable, and we're determined to play our part in addressing the situation.
Our model is unique. We don't just campaign on behalf of refugees and displaced people - we go out to refugee camps and communities with independent researchers to document exactly what is going on. We: - Facilitate collaboration among grassroots groups - Monitor policy and conduct desk research - Coordinate field research and document human rights violations - Advocate at local, national, regional and international levels
We occupy a unique space, acting as a bridge between grassroots organisations on the frontlines and the highest levels of policy.
