You and I by committing to the Promise 126 program share Susie’s (the founder) promise for the 126 children in our care to know that “In this world, you were loved”. Thanks to your support Mercy & Sharing provides food, shelter, education, medical care and above all LOVE to our children. I stress LOVE as these children have come to M&S abandoned in some way or another. They did nothing wrong and you and I get to spend the rest of their lives showing them this through our caring, guidance and love. A true family environment has been established at the M&S Village and we are grateful to have you as part of it.
You can keep us with weekly through fun Facebook updates and always enjoy videos on YouTube. By going to our website you can look under Projects – Promise 126 – Learn more and see each child’s individual photo and updated story on them. We also welcome your feedback and comments on how you feel we are doing with the Promise 126 program.
I want to dedicate this report to our beloved Caleb Francois. He passed away on June 13th, 2014 at the age of 10. They held a service for him at the M&S church at the orphanage. All the children were asked if they wanted to do something special to say goodbye to him and they all agreed to sing a favorite song. Ronald, Isaac and Frantz played the saxophone in his honor. He will be greatly missed. We feel blessed to have been able to love and care for him and have him for a friend.
As promised, in his grave is a note that says “In this world, you were loved”.
