Yes, Haiti has challenges, and Mercy & Sharing offers real and lasting solutions.
Specifically, Mercy & Sharing’s Guardian Angels Promise 126 program, for which this Global Giving challenge was created is a promise to the 126 children in our care at Mercy & Sharing Village, 60 of which are mentally or physically handicapped, to provide 24/7 care 365 days a year, including food, shelter, medical care, rehabilitation, education, hope, and opportunity.
Guardian Angel Promise 126 program seeks sponsors to help cover the approximate $6,000.00 per year, per child to provide 24/7 care. With the giving levels from $38, $50, $75, $125, $250 and $500, we believe that all 126 children will be fully funded. Here is cause for celebration: 72 children are fully or partially funded to date. We would like to invite this challenge to also give a hand up to 54 children who aren't funded.
For example, Mercy & Sharing received one child into our Promise 126 Program. He was diagnosed with down’s syndrome and arrived in a very weakened condition, and could not sit or be alone. Today, however, he is active, walking on his own, and happy alone or with company. The transformation in this one child is life changing and a true blessing for everyone. Thank you!
