I just returned from Haiti and I want to convey my personal thanks to you for the HUGE difference you are making in the lives of precious orphans! I've included some pictures with this report that illustrate the stark contrast in Haiti. On one hand, there are hundreds of thousands of children enslaved, sold into the sex trade, and/or wandering the trash laden streets of Port-au-Prince. On the other hand, there are the orphans you are helping who have a safe place to live, loving nannies, medical care, clothing, education, food and hope for the future!
Did you know that Mercy & Sharing is the ONLY organization in Haiti actively accepting disabled children into full time care? We have 39 nannies working around the clock to care for these kids. Were it not for Mercy & Sharing, these amazing orphans would be struggling on the streets or dead.
The orphans at Mercy & Sharing Village aren't busy trying to survive. Rather, they are busy dreaming about the future. I talked to many children this past weekend who wanted to be teachers, doctors, singers, and mechanics when they grow up. They smile and laugh and run and play because you are providing what they need to thrive! Thank you!
Please continue your support of these amazing little heroes. You honor their courage with your support and with sharing this project with your friends, families, and co-workers.
Please contact me directly any time you have questions or thoughts about Mercy & Sharing's work in Haiti.
