Over the past three months, Project on the Go (POG) has continued to transform the lives of women and girls by turning creativity into opportunity and talent into sustainable livelihoods. In communities where many women are unable to seek employment outside their homes due to cultural and social barriers, POG is creating a pathway to financial independence while preserving dignity, confidence, and hope.
For many of the women participating in the programme, this is their first opportunity to earn an income through their own skills. By learning jewellery making, stitching, embroidery, and handcrafted product design, they are not only mastering traditional crafts but also discovering their own entrepreneurial potential. Every product they create represents more than a handmade item, it represents a woman taking one step closer to supporting herself and her family.
This quarter, the women expanded their product range significantly, introducing beautiful handmade jewellery, traditional parrandas, a special Eid-ul-Adha Collection, miniature fabric doll keychains, butterfly keychains, animal-themed bag charms featuring camels, elephants, lions and horses, and an exciting collection of soft stuffed toys, including adorable cats and owls. These new creations received an overwhelmingly positive response from customers, with the miniature dolls and stuffed toys quickly becoming some of our most popular and sought-after products.
As production increased, so did opportunities. Women artisans worked together to improve product quality, learn new techniques, and prepare their creations for wider markets. Their handcrafted products are now reaching customers through multiple pop-up exhibitions, regular retail outlets, and, for the first time, Daraz, Pakistan's largest online marketplace. The launch on Daraz marks an important milestone, enabling women from underserved communities to access customers far beyond their own neighbourhoods. Enhanced product photography using AI-assisted techniques and attractive new packaging for our signature fabric dolls have further strengthened the professional presentation of their work.
One of the most significant achievements this quarter was the successful completion of our collaboration with Generation, one of Pakistan's leading fashion and lifestyle brands. Women participating in POG contributed to production, alterations, finishing, and product tagging, gaining valuable professional experience while earning an income. Today, handcrafted products made by these women are available through Generation's retail stores and online platform, a remarkable milestone that demonstrates the quality of their craftsmanship and opens new possibilities for future collaborations.
Beyond income generation, POG continues to nurture creativity and confidence among children and young people. Through art and craft workshops conducted in government schools and underserved communities, children explored creative expression while learning about traditional crafts and cultural heritage. These activities not only inspired imagination but also strengthened the connection between local craftsmanship and future generations.
Every purchase, every partnership, and every donation helps create opportunities for women who might otherwise have no access to independent income. Your support is enabling mothers to contribute to household expenses, invest in their children's education, and build brighter futures—all while working from the safety and comfort of their own homes. In communities where women's economic opportunities are often limited, these seemingly small handmade products are creating lasting change, one artisan, one family, and one community at a time.
Thank you for believing in the power of women, creativity, and opportunity. Together, we are proving that when women are given the chance to create, they also create stronger families, more resilient communities, and brighter futures for generations to come.
