12+ partners with high schools in underserved communities to provide ALL of their students the individualized college, academic, and social support needed to unlock their full potential. Every dollar from "Project: FLIGHT" will go directly into programming for our students on their road to post-secondary education. This campaign will fund the essentials that every student needs on this journey, from college visits to a dedicated, in-school 12+ advisor to walk with them every step of the way.
Every year, high school students from underserved communities face daunting challenges along the path to a post-secondary education. In Philadelphia, only 10% of public school students actually go on to earn a college degree, thus limiting their economic and social prospects. Unlike their more affluent peers, low-income, minority students often attend schools that lack the resources and human capital needed to help them become successful learners and achieve their post-secondary goals.
Your donation will directly benefit students by providing them the support they need during their pursuit of a college education. Our students live in a world where over 90% will be the first in their families to go to college. As they boldly embark on this journey, we ask that you join them. Send them the powerful message that there are others who believe in their potential, that they are not alone. We believe that even the smallest gust of wind can send our kids to the skies.
A college degree is a gateway to opportunity, especially for those who come from underserved communities. The education they will receive and the economic prospects they will gain from that education will allow our students to finally break free from the cycle of poverty and powerfully influence the world around them.
