With the support received so far one recipient has been funded at the secondary school level. Faith lost her parents more than three years ago. Even with excellent grades, the lack of funding of made meant she could not continue on to 10th grade. Her plight was brought to our attention by the school councilor. After being interviewed, she was determined to be a good candidate and was immediately offered a fully funded scholarship which covered school fees and supplies for the 2017 school at St. Johns Secondary school.
At the primary school level 3 girls received annual scholarships to attend Mulambwa primary school. Both Muwaye and Namangolwa were identified through our community reading program for underprivileged children. Both girls are in the care of their grandmothers after having lost their parents. Monde is 10 years old and until now has never been to school. She is now enrolled in 1st grade at Mulambwa primary school in Mongu.
In an effort to encourage support to the project we have created a page on our website to help drive traffic and have begun using our Facebook page to share our work.
We also continue to encourage current and past donors to continue supporting our work as it will enable us to continue providing much needed educational support
