200 Children of Sri Lanka receive Free Education

There are approximately 2500 children living in the central province of Sri Lanka, without their parents. These children are living in extended family homes or with guardians. Unlike the children living in our orphanages, who receive adequate food, clothing and education, these children often do without basic needs. Many of these families living in poverty often struggle to provide for themselves and certainly for the children they have taken into their homes.  Because donations are typically channeled into the orphanage centers of Sri Lanka, children living without their natural parents do not receive the attention and care that is so vital to their success. Children are often left unsupervised as they are not attending school.  The mental health needs of the children, who are often depressed and anxious, add to the problems in our central district.

Our Sunray Foundation team has identified 200 of the 2500 children most in need of your financial assistance. We hope to route your generous donations directly to these children and their families, to provide for their adequate nutritional and educational needs. We know that you will understand the dire importance of sending help to this vulnerable group of Sri Lanka's children. While most donors are sending their financial aid to our orphanages, you will be directly providing assistance to our most vulnerable children.

Your donation is unique because you have chosen to share with a group of children often overlooked by the generous donor community. Because these children often live "off the radar" of many aid programs, and because they are isolated from one another, this group of children with greatly benefit from the care and oversight your donations will provide.
