Because of your support, Project Keep Me continues to be there when pets and people need it most. What began as a program to help survivors of domestic violence remains a critical resource for those fleeing unsafe situations, while also supporting another vulnerable group. We are receiving more and more requests to assist veterans as they prepare to enter in-patient treatment by providing a safe place for their pets.
At its core, Project Keep Me exists to solve one critical problem: what happens to a beloved pet when their person cannot care for them. For many veterans, that bond is not just companionship. It is stability, comfort, and a vital part of their healing.
In 2025, demand for the program doubled, and that need continues to rise. Each call we receive is a reminder that access to safe, temporary pet care can make the difference between someone getting help or delaying it.
Thanks to you, we are able to say yes. Yes to providing shelter, food, and veterinary care. Yes to keeping pets safe. And yes to preserving the powerful connection between people and the animals who help them through their hardest moments.
Your support ensures that survivors can reach safety, veterans can pursue treatment, and beloved pets can be reunited with the people they love.
