- Organization of the Provincial Consultation Forum on the REDD+ Process in North Kivu, which concluded with the adoption of a final declaration expressing the commitment to ensuring the successful implementation of the REDD+ process, expected to reach its anticipated outcomes by 2030.
- Preparation of sites for reforestation covering 800 hectares, using native and forest tree species, including 40 hectares dedicated to agroforestry, in the territories of Masisi, Rutshuru, Lubero, and Beni.
- Production and promotion of briquettes, although their adoption has faced challenges, highlighting the need to improve their quality.
- Promotion of biogas, an initiative that has encountered several obstacles.
Future Prospects:
- Intensification of agroforestry by involving large-scale farmers, with the aim of facilitating access to land for vulnerable populations.
- Evaluation of the experience of no-burn agriculture in Mangurejipa (Lubero) as part of efforts to combat CO emissions.
- Advocacy for the electrification of major population centres in North Kivu.
