Updates

Anchor Group

We currently do not have an Anchor group in session. However, we have created some new goals and possibly have some exciting opportunities coming up in terms of how we are going to implement this program in the near future. We are looking forward to telling you more about it as everything continues to unfold.

Individual Sessions

We continue to see our young adolescent clients on an individual basis and are consistently receiving more referrals regularly. We still enjoy using interactive activities like games, art, and music to encourage these clients and give them the freedom to express their emotions.

Navigate Trainings

We had one Navigate training in this quarter. We presented the training in a local high school and had forty-seven students participate. We have another training scheduled in May and hope to have the opportunity to impact even more students.

Needs

Since Project Anchor continues to flourish in our community, there is a large necessity and desire to be able to multiply our Anchor staff in order to effectively meet the needs of our clients. We are grateful that our community recognizes how beneficial this program is for our adolescents, and we want to do everything we can to make sure that we can continue to offer our services to these special young women.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and we are holding our annual Walk in the Park fundraiser. We are really hoping that this will be our biggest community event yet and are hoping to reach out to some of the youth that show up that day as well.

As always, we want to thank you, on behalf of the staff and participants of Project Anchor, for your generous support of our program and our mission to help the hurting youth in our community.
