Through the raised donation of $5,898.50 for the project titled productive 500 skilled youth for young India through Global giving has provided support to 27 young youth for continuing their education. The support is like a blessing to the youth in right time. Even though the money which we have given as support has not completely fulfilled their need, it’s like a god’s gift to the needy youth.

The entire 27 project supported youth has able to pay their examination fees for appearing for exams. One of the students expressed that without paying my examination I wouldn’t be able to attend my first year examination, even though I have attended all the class whole of the year. He also added that the support has made me to concentrate on studies; I have secured 94% in examinations. Even though the money which we are supporting from this is a part of the total fees they are pay, but it is making them to get the remaining from other resources.

The mentoring support by the VMM and motivation of the facility members to support the needy students for better performance in their studies is showing good results. A girl shared that the timely support to her has alive her hopes of completing her pharmacy course, which was her father’s dream (who died last year). One girl said that the money she has received from the project has helped her to pay her semester fee, without payment the college will not allow to attend to examination.

In Andhra Pradesh the examinations are conducted in the months of March and April, by that time the student has to pay all fees like tuition fee, semester fee, and examination fee. Most of the students are able to pay examination fees, while they were unable to pay semester fees and tuition fees which are being supported from the project.

The selection of needy students were completed a detailed list was prepared, among the 72 applications; we have provided sponsorship to 27 youth. Among them 25 are young girls and 2 are young boys. We have received $ 5895.50. With the money we have supported to 27 youth for continuing their education.

Among the prioritized needy youth who were 21 girls that are studying nursing training course, one girl doing Engineering graduation, one doing technical course, two boys are studying engineering two girls doing Pharmacy. The following is the detailed expenses for the period September 2014 to February 2015. 74% of the money is used for sponsorship of educational needs of the youth, remaining 26% for backstopping support through regular home visits by programme person and financial monitoring and office supplies.

All the 27 youth felt that the support is very appropriate and timely. The girls who were studying nursing training said, with the support we could able to pay our examination and tuition fee, without this support we were unable to appear for final examinations conducted by government of Andhra Pradesh, so our 18 months of education will all be in vain if this support is not there. Similarly for all the beneficiaries the support is very useful in making payments for examination and tuition fees.
