We continue to move forward with the creation of Registration Online Component System (ROCS) 2.0, knowing that at the end of the project we will be able to reach out to problem solvers around the globe! This year the FPS Internatioanl Office and participating Affiliate Programs have worked with many new countries and areas within the United States through our Mentoring Program. Canada has rejoined the FPS family and we now have our Future Scenes translated into Hebrew. China has registered the first teams from that area. Without the new online virtual system to successfully connect students around the world, we will not be able to welcome our global partners. Students in our Afiliate Programs will not experience the technological advantages offered by our program.
During this school year ten+ Affiliate Programs were able to conduct their programs using ROCS, but it was not without difficulty. Only through the completion of our current project will we be able to keep programs running through virtual communications and competitions. In order to finance this project we must continue to raise funds. We are in high hopes that foundations and supporters will realize the value of virtual interaction for students of the 21st Century. FPS has existed 40+ years, but it must provide virtual means of communication and competition to provide the necessary skills for today's students/participants.
This year at International Conference 2016 all competitions will use ROCS for evaluation, enhancing the quality and accuracy of evaluations. With students traveling far for the conference, we want to ensure them of the very best outcome we can provide. Our hope is that all students will be able to participate online in 2017! Thank you in advance for any support you can offer – either personally or through the connection with a foundation that appreciates and need the skills provided to students via FPS. We value your assistance in letting others know the skills students garner from FPS and that their help is needed.
