Two new children from Sindhu Palchok district Nepal is enrolled. Their father is in the prison and mother has gone with somebody else. Three more girls will be enrolled soon. PAM recognized one major donor through the GlobalGiving and one lady from Austria who climbed Mt. Everest recently and Manasalu before. She is also a brand Embassador of International Judo Association and supporter or donor of the Everest Judo Club. The Everest Judo Club and PAM is having coordination to promote Judo. After training in Judo at PAM for 45 days and getting the Black Belt two Judokas from the club are providing Judo training in the Everest Club. Two more children from the area are coming for higher study in Kathmandu. They will be taking Judo training at PAM. We like to request all our donors to visit PAM any time they are in Nepal.
One girl from PAM has joined as an assistant Judo Trainer from this month and one boy as agriculture assistant cum office assistant in PAM. PAM has designed a shopping centre to let 18+ PAM children start business and sell products from PAM also. Remaining shops will be rented to others. PAM has done a survey of community to find out about their agricultural interests, needs and problems. Based on this PAM is preparing the demonstration plot, training materials, and service provision centre. Library and Gym are also open but because of limited space they are not open for general public. 15 community children a are taking Judo training at PAM regularly and they are also using PAM facilities like library, gym and nutrition support. During the rainy season much cannot be done in terms of community services so we will have to wait for the Autumn to provide community services. During this PAM will develop a plan of action for agricultural demonstration, training and services; use of shoppimg centre; 18+ PAM childrens management; enrollment of more prisoners’ children children at PAM; and development of systems.
