PAM Progress Report (Final)

Three and two children from PAM have joined Nepal Police and the Armed Police. They will also play judo and take part in competitions from their respective clubs. Three children have joined the family and they also are working as well as continuing their studies. PAM is supporting them as and when needed like paying for schooling, dresses, etc. All the children were provided with winter cloth: jackets, sweaters, sports shoes, etc. For better nutrition children are provided with meat and eggs four times a week. Fruits, nuts, etc. were also added in the snacks. PAM is supplying organic vegetables from its vegetable garden. Mushroom is ready for consumption also. Now PAM has 26 children left at the Nestling Home. As soon as corona subsides PAM will bring 5-10 children in the Nestling Home. PAM has already contacted one district prison and got the information that they have 16 children. There ewer 10 visitors in PAM who brought food pr celebrated birthdays. PAM children being happy disciplined and good at merrymaking like dancing, singing people like to visit and share good time with children.

Three children passed the secondary school exam (10th grade), three have passed eleventh grade and three more have passed the Higher Secondary School exam. All of them have joined for their further studies.  Schools were open for a short time so the children studied physically being present in the schools but two months ago Omicron virus was spread so the school was closed. A few virtual classes were run by the schools where the children took part. All the children and staff above 12 years have taken vaccines. The Nestling Home is maintaining all the precautions to protect children from the virus. Until now, everybody is safe.

For a short time judo class was open for the outsiders also. 16 children from the community are taking part with PAM children. PAM children even during the time of corona spread were playing themselves. When Omicron started spreading, the outside players were not allowed to come. But it is open now and they have started the judo training again. Three children from Mount Everest Club are staying at the Nestling Home and learning judo. In the last report it was reported that 12 children will take part. But because of some problems only three joined. There is some discussion going on if PAM can send its one player to train judo in Solu. Librarian, judo and computer interns are working in their field. They will need training before they take up the full time jobs. There is still need to wait and see because of corona,

Water is a big problem. Even for drinking PAM has to buy mineral water and for cleaning water tankers. Agriculture is becoming a problem because of lack of water. Plastic tunnel also is ready for use where seedling will be produced. Green liquid manure is being prepared and used. For saving of water plastic mulching is used, Roof-top gardening will be started to demonstrate to the people around. With the fund available PAM has been able to minimize and remove some problems.

The main event for coming months is the General Assembly when a new Board will be elected to lead and manage the new events and demand. It will be organized on March 3rd. 2022.
