By Alexandra Reddy and Jenny Botting | PASA Development Team
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your generous donations to PASA. Your support has been vital in providing essential medical care and assistance to several rescued chimpanzees and baboons that recently arrived at Lwiro Primates Rehabilitation Centre, a PASA member center. Every single dollar makes a meaningful impact on their lives.
Meet Kailo, an orphaned chimpanzee rescued from the wildlife trade, who initially faced health challenges at around 6 months old, including severe diarrhea. Fortunately, through his determination, dedicated care from sanctuary staff, and your support, he has made remarkable progress. Kailo has already gained two kilograms and is now thriving. He has formed a strong bond with another chimp named Malago, and they have become inseparable, like brothers. Watch this adorable video of Kailo and Malago exploring the forest!
The increasing number of orphans coming to sanctuaries because of the illegal wildlife trade is alarming. Sadly, poachers took away their families, but thanks to your contributions, PASA members are able to provide them with a beautiful future.
Your donations have given these orphaned primates a chance for a better life at Lwiro Primates Rehabilitation Centre. Your support has provided them with essential medical care, rehabilitation, and a safe environment where they can heal from their traumatic experiences.
Please know that your generosity has made a tangible difference in the lives of these vulnerable animals. Your contribution not only helped in rescuing and rehabilitating these primates but also contributed to raising awareness about the urgent need to combat the illegal wildlife trade.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation for your kindness and compassion. PASA members will continue to work tirelessly to rescue more victims of the wildlife trade and provide them with the care they desperately need. Your ongoing support is instrumental in achieving our shared goal of protecting and preserving these incredible primates.
Thank you!
