Activities to prevent human trafficking in Nepal

HIMRIGHTS carried out, took lead and participated in the following programs to work for the prevention of human trafficking in Nepal:

An orientation on the long term negative effects of child marriage/ early union was given to students, parents, teachers and other concerned stakeholders with major focus on marginalized children in Makwanpur district
Speech Competition was held in 4 different schools of Makwanpur district on the topic of child marriage and human trafficking. It helped them to prepare content and look into the issues in-depth. Similarly, their sharing helped other students to be aware about these issues.
Participation in the international consultation on ways to prevent human trafficking organized by GAATW, Bangkok
Participation in the 109^th International Women’ Day Rally
Discussion on the issues and challenges faced by migrant woman workers and their access to public services organized by GAATW
HIMRIGHTS alongside several organizations showed solidarity and pledged to work against gender based violence and abuse
