Activities to prevent human trafficking in Nepal

HIMRIGHTS carried out following programs to work for the prevention of human trafficking in Nepal:

Dialogue with Media against Human Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) organized jointly by AATWIN and Shakti Samuha in 20 December 2018, Kathmandu under the leadership of HIMRIGHTS
Submission of recommendations to National Planning Commission (NPC) to include the priority issues of Human Trafficking in coming 15th Periodic Plan of Nepal at Singha Durbar on 25 January 2019. A delegation of AATWIN lead by Chairperson, Ms. Anjana Shakya handed over the recommendations to members of the NPC, Hon. Min Bahadur Shahi and Hon. Dr. Usha Jha to address the priority issue of Human Trafficking in coming 15th Periodic Plan under the leadership of HIMRIGHTS. The Recommendations were collected in the consultation workshop participated by 58 participants representing various CSO.

Participation in GAATW strategic envisioning on the occasion of 25th Anniversarry, 24-25th Nov 2018
