AMANC'S Nutritional Program

By Fernanda Arreola | Strategic Alliances Coordinator

Dear friends,

We hope you have been doing fine since the last time we sent a report. On this occasion we want to tell you some exciting news.

The first one is that Lía, one of the beneficiaries, came the other day for a general check up and after four years of surveillance her family was told that there is only one year left without relapses before she becomes a childhood cancer survivor. We could not be happier for Lía and their family.

You may think that one year is a lot of time, but time flies and before we realize it, we will be telling you she has become a survivor.

Thanks to donations like yours we can have more successful stories like Lía’s. Because of the Nutritional Program less children drop out of their oncological treatment due to malnutrition.

It is important to say that AMANC supports families during the three stages of the disease, before, during and after. During the oncological treatment our Nutritional Program is crucial, however after they have finished their treatment and go on surveillance they are still beneficiaries in case of any relapse.

The second news is that AMANC was selected for a grant by Riot Games. This would not have been possible without your trust and support because someone referred us through GlobalGiving . So we are specially thankful for this opportunity.

Your donations and this grant mean a great contribution to this cause. This is how AMANC can continue providing three meals per day, food pantries and nutritional supplementation, as well as nutritional orientation for the families who need it.

We also appreciate that you share our project with more people, so the effort we both put on this is known not only by us but others.

Thank you once again for the trust and commitment. We will keep in touch with you.

Sincerely,

AMANC Team
