Uganda is experiencing a growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including hypertension, diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular diseases. In 2023, about 26.4% of adults aged 18–69 had raised blood pressure, while diabetes affected about 3.3% of adults. NCDs contribute significantly to illness, premature deaths and increasing pressure on Uganda’s health system. These conditions not only affect individual health but also hinder socioeconomic development due to reduced productivity and premature deaths. Kagumu development organization is implementing this project to combat this situation through community lead innervations. This is therefore, a report summarizing NCD-related activities outcomes for the quarter from June to August 2026 in the districts of Kibuku, Budaka, Pallisa, and Butebo in Eastern Uganda.
