Summary:
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs)—including cancer, diabetes, heart disease, chronic respiratory diseases, hypertension, asthma, mental health conditions, and syphilis—remain major public health challenges in Uganda. These conditions not only affect individual health but also hinder socioeconomic development due to reduced productivity and premature deaths.
Kagumu development organization is implementing this project to combat this situation through community lead intervations.This is therefore, a report summarizing NCD-related activities outcomes for the quarter from February to April 2026 in the districts of Kibuku, Budaka, Pallisa, and Butebo in Eastern Uganda.
