Success Story: Baby Ayaa's Birth

By William Logai Ochieng | Executive director

Giving Birth is Dangerous in South Sudan!
Giving Birth is Dangerous in South Sudan!

Thanks for your long term support to stop Moms from Dying in childbirth.

At the time of this reporting - your contributions and money from others - Hope Ofiriha provided a clinic with 1 box birthing mats, 2 boxes cotton wool, and 3 boxes syringes & needles.

Also you supported 8 Moms give birth to beautiful babies. Thanks so much for your help!

We will be sending you a new field update after three months so that you get to know the impact your contributions.

An Unlikely Success Story: Baby Ayaa's Birth:
Unfortunately, babies in South Sudan who are born in poverty will not receive a gift this because their parents are poor. This appeal is your opportunity to help bring a smile to a baby's face this Christmas.

With your help, Hope Ofiriha seeks to help six Mothers who are due to give birth during this holiday season. But they need your help to secure the birthing kits to give birth safely. This goodwill ensures that the families can come together at Christmas to share gifts and celebrate life.

South Sudan is one of the most dangerous places in the world for mothers. One in every 50 women who becomes pregnant will die in childbirth. Her baby is even less likely to make it.

In rural Omilling, where access to medical care is limited, the danger is even greater.

That's why baby Ayaa is such a miracle. Thanks to people like you, Ayaa's mother received critical care throughout her pregnancy and birth of her two children.

This is why we are appealing to you this Christmas to donate between $10, $50 or sign up a monthly subscription to mark a year-end to save lives.
