Merry Christmas & happy new year

By William Logai Ochieng | Executive director

Expectant mother waiting for her baby to come
Expectant mother waiting for her baby to come

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year!

Thanks for recent generous gift to Stop Moms from Dying in childbirth.
There is no political agreement reach between the government and the rebel despite IGAD sponsored peace talks since the alleged coup. South Sudan is getting worse day by day. Hope for peace has depreciated as the clashes continue to take place in Jonglei state.

Due to bad and muddy road caused by rain it has been almost impossible to deliver the critical needed, necessary materials to Onura Survival clinic to help expectant mothers to deliver safely. To make matter worst the 4x4 Defender is grounded due to an accident. The materials were given 20km away from Omilling to clinic staff because Noah is not 4x4 to drive off-road and severe environment. The community will use other means to get materials to the clinic.

With your donations, the following were supplied; five boxes birthing mats, seven boxes cotton wool, eight small boxes syringes & needles. According to report from clinic six mothers, are expected to give birth this December.

A quote from a beneficiary expecting to give birth this December - " You are giving me and my coming baby new hope. Before I had given birth to three children under an appalling condition - "this time, I give birth to the enhanced state and a village clinic to save my life and my baby." Thanks for being kind and donating the materials that I cannot get without your support.

We will be sending you a new field update after three months so that you get to know the impact your contribution is making in the lives of new babies and their Moms.
