A large number of students in our schools come from rural areas of Vrindavan where the buses can’t go to pick them up due to the lack of well maintained roads. Therefore, girls have to travel a long distance by walking or by using public vehicles such as rickshaws which constitutes an extra financial burden on them which also raises safety concern.
To facilitate the students and provide them with safety, FFLV has helped nine students with new bicycles. Riding own bicycles provides the girls with a sense of security, confidence and the independence to travel freely within their community and to the schools.
