Thank You!

At Health Development Initiative, we have much to be thankful for this holiday season. With your help, the sexual health and reproductive education (SHARE) program has grown exponentially. In 2014, we raised $22,307 to fund educational materials, awareness events, and staff expansion that empowered secondary school students with crucial information needed to make informed decisions about their health and to protect themselves against unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections like HIV/AIDS.

Some of our proudest achievements in 2014 include:

Hired 1 full-time SHARE Program Coordinator
Hired 6 part-time SHARE Facilitators
Modified the SHARE Manual used to educate students, which will be shared with the national HIV/AIDS Technical Working Group to inform the future national sexual health education curriculum.
Presented SHARE Program results at the international HIV/AIDS research conference in Kigali, Rwanda.
