We are always overwhelmed by the generosity of our donors. Your contribution changes the reality of so many people each and every day. Here are some of the stories of the lives that have been changed:
Interfaith Neighbors assisted a family of five when the father suddenly lost his job. The mother works part-time while caring for their eldest son who was recently diagnosed with a neurological disorder. Interfaith Neighbors helped the family with their back rent. They were most grateful for the assistance. And fortunately, the father has now found a new job!
Interfaith Neighbors assisted a single mother with three boys. She experienced a loss of household income after the death of a family member and recent medical issues. Interfaith Neighbors provided a security deposit and first month’s rent for a more affordable home. The family is now stable and truly appreciated the assistance during their time of need.
This month, Interfaith Neighbors helped a single mother with two children ages 8 and 4. She works as a home health aide and is paid only for days worked. She had to miss time from work because her children were ill. The lost wages caused her to fall behind in her rent. The mother gets no child support and Interfaith Neighbors assisted her with a rent subsidy so she could avoid eviction and homelessness.
These are families who, without our help would have become homeless. These are situations we hear about every day. We are so grateful for the support of our donors who have made it possible to keep families in their homes, often during some of the most difficult times in their lives. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!!
