The Prenatal Care for 350 Pregnant Women in Borno project has made encouraging progress toward improving maternal health services for vulnerable women in conflict-affected communities. Although fundraising efforts are still ongoing, financial planning and resource allocation have already been structured to ensure efficient use of funds once disbursement begins. The total project budget remains $20,300, with allocations prioritized for antenatal consultations, nutritional supplements, medical screenings, transportation support for referrals, and community outreach activities. Preliminary coordination with local health workers and partner clinics has been completed to minimize operational costs and maximize direct beneficiary impact.
Community sensitization efforts have also started through engagement with local leaders and volunteers, helping to increase awareness about the importance of early antenatal registration and regular prenatal visits. Procurement plans for essential maternal health supplies have been drafted, with emphasis on cost-effective sourcing to ensure that the largest possible percentage of funds directly benefits pregnant women. Financial accountability measures, including expenditure tracking and monitoring systems, have been established to promote transparency throughout project implementation.
As funding support increases, the project is positioned to begin full-scale service delivery, ensuring that 350 pregnant women receive consistent prenatal care, health education, and timely referrals. The project remains committed to achieving measurable reductions in preventable maternal and newborn complications while maintaining responsible financial management and sustainable community impact.
