The *Powering Local Action for Health in Nairobi Slums* campaign continues to strengthen community-led health action in underserved informal settlements by improving access to essential health services, building local capacity, and addressing psychosocial and social barriers to care.
The campaign is hosted on the GlobalGiving platform with a fundraising target of USD 50,000.
As at the time of this reporting period, new disbursement communicated on 24 June 2026 was USD 109.24.
This disbursement once received, implementation of the associated activities will commence after the time of reporting. Planning and preparation will take place, so that the funds are earmarked for delivery in the coming weeks, with results to be captured in the next report.
Status of Implementation
Disbursement of USD 109.24 was communicated on 24 June 2026 but yet to be received, allocated and expended. In line with K-LCA's practice of directing limited funds toward high-impact, community-driven interventions, the disbursement will be used during the upcoming implementation window.
No service-delivery outputs are reported for this period, as activities are scheduled to begin once preparatory steps i.e. community mobilisation, scheduling and coordination with community health volunteers and partner facilities, are completed.
Next Steps
In the coming weeks, Warande Advisory will support K-LCA to:
- Complete preparatory steps and commence implementation of the planned activity;
- Capture outputs and outcomes for reporting in the next period; and
As additional funds are mobilised toward the overall campaign target of USD 50,000, Warande Advisory will continue supporting K-LCA to:
- Expand caregiver and maternal mental health support to additional informal settlements;
- Scale integrated cervical cancer and women's health outreach;
- Strengthen follow-up and referral tracking systems; and
- Build community and provider capacity to sustain local health action.
Warande Advisory sincerely thanks GlobalGiving and its donors for enabling local action for health in Nairobi's informal settlements and for supporting community-driven, inclusive and integrated health solutions.
