1. Introduction

This report provides an update on the progress of the Disaster Relief & Humanitarian Aid, S/East Nigeria project (ID: 54335). Our mission is to provide timely humanitarian assistance to vulnerable individuals and families affected by disasters, displacement, food insecurity, economic hardship, and other emergencies across Southeast Nigeria.

We remain committed to restoring hope and dignity by providing emergency food assistance, nutrition support, essential relief items, and community-based interventions that strengthen resilience and improve the wellbeing of vulnerable populations.

3. Financial Summary

During this reporting period, we gratefully received $218.72 USD through GlobalGiving.

The funds were carefully utilized to support humanitarian response activities, including emergency food assistance, procurement and distribution of essential relief materials, nutrition support for vulnerable households, transportation and logistics, beneficiary identification, project coordination, monitoring, and other operational expenses necessary for effective programme implementation.

We remain committed to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of every contribution entrusted to us.

4. Project ActivitiesEmergency Food Assistance

With the support of our generous donors, we provided emergency food assistance to vulnerable individuals and families experiencing severe hardship, helping to reduce the immediate impact of hunger and food insecurity.

Humanitarian Relief

The project supported the coordination and delivery of relief assistance to vulnerable households affected by economic hardship and other humanitarian challenges within our target communities.

Nutrition Support

Through our humanitarian response, we continued promoting access to nutrient-dense fortified foods and nutraceutical diet products developed through our social enterprise to improve the nutritional wellbeing of vulnerable beneficiaries.

Community Engagement

We worked closely with community leaders and volunteers to identify vulnerable households, coordinate relief activities, and ensure that assistance reached those with the greatest need.

5. Social Enterprise Support

In addition to donor funding, our social enterprise continued to complement this project through in-kind contributions, volunteer support, and nutrition innovation.

For the past three years, we have consistently donated food during the pilot testing of our nutraceutical diet products and nutrient-dense fortified food products. These donations have supported vulnerable individuals and families while helping us improve product quality, safety, and nutritional value.

This integrated approach enables us to combine humanitarian assistance with sustainable food innovation and long-term community development.

6. Estimated Impact

The support received during this reporting period enabled us to make meaningful progress in assisting vulnerable communities.

Community Reach

• Approximately 50–80 individuals benefited directly or indirectly from humanitarian relief activities.
• 15–25 vulnerable households received emergency food assistance and other forms of relief support.
• Community awareness of humanitarian preparedness and resilience was strengthened through collaboration with local leaders and volunteers.

Humanitarian Response

• Emergency food assistance and essential relief support helped reduce immediate hardship among vulnerable families.
• Improved coordination of humanitarian interventions through volunteers and community stakeholders.

Community Wellbeing

• Continued promotion of nutrition, food security, and community resilience through humanitarian interventions and the complementary support of our social enterprise.

7. Challenges

The humanitarian needs across Southeast Nigeria continue to exceed available resources. Many vulnerable families still require emergency food assistance, nutrition support, and essential relief services.

Additional funding will enable us to expand our humanitarian response, reach more beneficiaries, and strengthen community preparedness for future emergencies.

8. Prospects and Future Plans

In the coming months, we aim to:

• Expand emergency food assistance to more vulnerable households.
• Increase the availability of nutrient-dense fortified foods during emergency response activities.
• Strengthen community-based disaster preparedness and resilience programmes.
• Enhance partnerships with humanitarian organizations, community leaders, and development partners.
• Improve emergency response logistics to ensure faster and more effective delivery of humanitarian assistance.
