Tour de Cure registration for 2014 is now open!
Please join us on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Hillsboro Stadium for Tour de Cure 2014.
Tour de Cure is the largest fund raising event for the Oregon/SW Washington office of the American Diabetes Association.
Funds raised support our mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. We accomplish this through research, advocacy and education.
A few of our highlights include:
Diabetes EXPO: Held annually at the Oregon Convention Center and serves over 5,000 community members interested in the latest information on diabetes. This event is free of charge.
Safe at School: Last year, 178 schools and 1,333 school personnel throughout Oregon and SW Washington received free training on how to care for children in their schools living with diabetes.
Research: In fiscal year 2012, the American Diabetes Association's Research Program invested approx. $34.6 million in diabetes research, including a $333,500 grant to Chrostopher Madden, PhD at OHSU, Pyschosocial Behavioral Medicine, Obesity.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us in the past and we look forward to seeing you in July.
