The aim of this disaster relief fund to minimize sufferings for heavy rain flood 2020 affected 5737 families in Sindh province of Pakistan by providing them emergency assistance like cooked/dry food items, clean drinking water, hygiene/sanitary items, medicines, mosquito nets, non-food items and temporary shelter. This immediate humanitarian assistance can minimize their hardships, diseases and death as well as support in early recovery of severely affected families.
This year's heavy monsoon rainfall has caused flooding which caused heavy losses to human life as more than 113 men, women and children lost their lives, million hectors crop and thousands of homes have been damaged and destroyed in Sindh province of Pakistan. In Mirpurkhas district, more than 777,142 persons have been displaced more than 5,737 houses destroyed, crop on 115,120 acres destroyed and 2,039 animals perished.
ARTS Foundation through the generous support of the philanthropists under this fund will provide food items, clean drinking water, medicines, mosquito nets, hygiene/sanitary items to women and girls, non-food items and temporary shelter to 5737 most affected and vulnerable families in the district in order to minimize their hardships, protect from water born and mosquito bite diseases and deaths as well as support in early recovery of severely families.
This generous support by the philanthropists will provide immediate humanitarian emergency aid to 5737 rain affected families by providing them food items, clean drinking water, medicines, mosquito nets, hygiene/sanitary items to women and girls, non-food items and temporary shelter in the district for early recovery and well being.
