Our school currently prepares meals for both Pupils & staff from a makeshift Kitchen that produces smoke & uses firewood which is not environmentally Friendly.We want to set up an eco friendly kitchen that uses solar & Volcanic Stones to prepare meals & cut firewood usage by close to 90%!
We currently use a lot of firewood to prepare meals from make shift kitchen.It produces a lot of smoke which unhealthy for school cook & environmentally destructive through tree cutting to get firewood.It also takes more time to prepare meals, firewood not dry enough & it's costly to purchase it termly,we use to close to $500 per term on firewood.
With your donation,we shall construct smoke free Kitchen that uses Solar & Volcanic Stones where each term we use only $100 to purchase a sack of stones (volcanic) used alongside Solar system with three burner stoves. This will ensure timely preparation of meals & reduction in smoke by over 90% in the new kitchen .
The potential long term impact is total stopages of firewood usage & saving environmental from carbon emissions while allowing the would be trees to grow & protect our environment.This project , being under a school will serve over 500 school pupils in the long run.
