Increasing the scholastic achievement of girls is a challenge in much of the developing world. Scholarships give promising learner an opportunity to pursue their education regardless of their financial circumstances. In many rural areas of developing countries, the daughter is normally responsible for helping their mother or father to find food to take care their siblings. Especially, the social norm that say daughters does not need to have high education because they will stay home taking care of the house, husband and children. Therefore, the priority always goes to son to attend school if there is an option in the family. This project will contribute to family and the cost of tuition.
This project will help the girl to continue their study without worry about taking care for their family or sibling. Because the CCT fund will be enough to support their family. We will provide them all with bi-monthly extracurricular training for three years to make sure they are completed grade 9, in addition to supporting their families and making regular visits.
This project will give a long-term impact with 4 reasons: 1- To Reduce Dropout rate 2- To avoid Early Married 3- To empower girl to get involved in the community and family 4- The girl who have high education will have opportunities to have high income and economic independence. This impact not only to the girl themself, but it also impacts to their family and community.
