We are happy to share that the Ndinogona "I Can" Stimulation Program has been fully implemented at the Siyabonga Care Center! Thanks to your contributions, children continue to develop, learn, grow and play! The caregivers are seeing great development due to the kit's extensive and valuable activities. Parents and caregivers see a difference in their children already and are very excited about the impact of the program, not just on their children but also on their community.
Although the program is wrapping up, Uhambo will conduct follow up visits with the Siyabonga Care Center and help them sustain the program through the parents' support groups and by engaging community members. The children will experience ongoing benefits, thanks to the kit's daily use at the center and in their homes!
Uhambo is working on providing the Stimulation Program to other communities in need and has posted a new project on GlobalGiving -- a wheelchair center in Kenya that will train and hire people with disabilities. After the initial funding to launch the center, It will a sustainble social enterprise.
Join us on our Facebook page to follow stories about our Stimulation Program, the new Wheechair Center and our journey. After all, Uhambo means journey and we are grateful you have joined us!
