Uhambo has kicked off its Ndinogona "I Can" Program at the Siyabonga Care Village in Vredenburg, a rural community in Western Cape, to children with disabilities. Some of the children who are benefiting from the program include:
Six care givers participated in the Stimulation Kit training and were extremely excited to implement the tools in their daily work! The kit includes over 100 specially-designed activities and songs to stimulate communication and are divided into four themes:
This month the center is focusing on the “All about Me” theme.
Thanks to each and every one of you for providing this opportunity to the children of Siyabonga! The program will continue over the next few months and offer transformative experiences for the children, care givers, staff and community members.
