How does our work make a difference? Yummy's Story Our project at Siyabonga will help 100 children with disabilities including children like "Yummy". Yamkhela (fondly known as Yummy) who was born with Cerebral Palsy moved to Siyabonga four years ago after being abandoned by his mother in the shack they called home. Yummy was used to being hidden away as his family was ashamed about his disability. He now receives the care and attention he deserves at Siyabonga, along with an opportunity for development and inclusion with others. His caretakers often sing to him, “Yummy, Yummy, Yummy, I’ve got love in my tummy!” How's our Campaign going?
Our campaign is going well but we still have some distance to cover. Do you know someone who has been touched by disabilities, has an affinity for Africa or believes in social justice and human rights? If so, please share the link to our Campaign with them. $10 is the minimum donation on GlobalGiving and truly every dollar helps.
Upcoming Bonus Day
GlobalGiving is offering another Bonus Day on April 24! This is a great chance for new donors to contribute as their funds will be matched.
Thank you again for your support and for sharing our work with others!
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
