Project Report | Apr 3, 2013
World Autism Day

By Lucinda Kerschensteiner | Founding Director

Today, April 2, is World Autism Awareness Day -- a chance to address stigma, build awareness and develop support structure for a more inclusive society. Uhambo's Ndinogona "I Can" Stimulation Program provides the opportunity for children with disabilities to realize their potential.

At another day care center in a township of Cape Town that utilizes the Stimulation Kit, Soso, an 8-year-old with autism, repeated words for the first time with his therapist recently. His therapists believe that soemday he may be able to read and write.

What a fantastic breakthrough that many others can achieve with the  Ndinogona "I Can" Stimulation Kit!
