This project will benefit more than 1500 participants from our free time activities, providing them a place to keep them safe from the negative factors of their context such as violence and gang presence. The dome will provide a safe place to play and a welcoming environment to meet with families and leaders.
Altos de Cazuca, in Soacha, is a community of high level vulnerability, particularly given that is one of the areas which received the most displaced people due to the armed conflict. Marginalization and exclusion has characterized its population, contributing to the lack of opportunities that affect children and young people in particularly, by prematurely living with poverty and violence as their reality. Today, 22% of arts and sports practice are cancelled due to weather and violence.
By providing the community of Altos de Cazuca with the construction of a dome, we will allow more than 1500 children to practice sports and arts away from the violence of gangs, away from natural risks, and away from the dangerous of a community that is recognized as one of the most violent in the suburbs of the capital city in Bogota.
