Playing and learning. Strengthening socio-emotional skills
The soccer tournament lasted several months and after some defeats, last June, the children of JUCONI House participated in the final of the soccer league. With laughter and effort, the children had fun and showed that teamwork is necessary to obtain good results. They were very happy because they received a trophy, which symbolized the effort of each of them.
Every Tuesday, children and teenagers go to the Parque España where they learn tennis. These activities have as main objective to promote sport to promote their physical and emotional development.
On this occasion, the children demonstrated what they learned in class to family and friends. The fun could not miss, between laughter and silence, the children had the opportunity to participate in this activity. At the end of the demonstration, the JUCONI team recognized the perseverance of each of the participants.
Starting the summer with fun and new experiences
To start the summer with a lot of energy, the children and youth of Casa JUCONI traveled to Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca to have a pleasant stay in a spa. Upon arriving at the place, the youth played soccer with other young people who are present while the little ones decided to enjoy the pools.
At lunchtime, they all prepared a delicious roast, this helps to strengthen the relationships between the children and the JUCONI team by exchanging family stories of the children.
What has been worked and learned in this type of activities is the integration of the group, self-care and the development of social and emotional skills.
