With this project, you support the realization of recreational activities for the children of Casa JUCONI for one year: camps, soccer and tennis practices, tours to archaeological zones and trips to the cinema and museums with the aim of integrating the group and the reconstruction of their identity. Casa JUCONI is an open doors transitional home, which is part of the JUCONI Programme for children aged 6 to 15 who have lived on the street of Mexico due to violence in their homes.
The right to play, recreation and having fun are fundamental rights of all children. However, the reality in Mexico is completely devastating where instead of playing 7 out of 10 children suffer some type of violence such as physical punishment, humiliation and other forms of violence such as sexual abuse or neglect. Therefore, we work on the reconstruction of the identity of each child and the knowledge and respect of their rights.
With the camps they attend, as well as going to the movies, visits to museums, practices of sports such as soccer, and other activities that we do throughout the year, we can restore children rights. Casa JUCONI is an open doors transitional home where we seek the development of physical, social and emotional skills of children who have been excluded from their homes and society. The therapeutic processes that we follow generate safe environments that help to overcome traumatic events.
On the day of Christopher's graduation, with joy and melancholy, he remembered those moments in Casa JUCONI, thanked his friends and educators for the experiences in the camps and outings of the group where a new image of the world was formed. With the different activities we contribute to the fact that the current resident boys of Casa JUCONI have unforgettable experiences and add more success stories to the JUCONI Programme, where 96% of our families achieve their reintegration.
