We hope this update finds everyone well.
This has been a very different year from the rest, not just with Bright Side Projects heralding in our 12th year of operation but also we have been spending more time setting up the framework for new programs and encountering various trials and tribulations as we grow up with our youth. For our indigenous communities, we were able to create and share with them 48 plant-based meals spanning over several workshops, bring the kids on journeys learning how to make Indian naan and Mexican tortilla chips from scratch (supplemented with some pre-made).
We selected to partner once again with SUIIS, an online shopping site, delivering 30kg of organic rice from local farmers, 121 portions of plant-based food staples to 10 households in Taitung. Kicking off the year with this trip started us on the path for the first half of the year, obtaining the means to restart a community center that we have assisted in getting funded several years ago. We have been a part of this indigenous community since 2015 and hope that the children here can continue to have access to education and regular meals. We are excited for what is to come and hope you can continue to support the children.
