The project will provide plants to 100 villages in Orissa to protected native forest that will control water and air pollution, check soil erosion and will provide habitat for wild animal.
Forest has been reduced from 75% to 22% during 75 years from 1947 to 2004. According to the repot from state government there was 59963.30 square mile forest existed till 1981. But there are only 48383. 8 square mile forest is remaining till 2001. During 30 years more then 50% forest is destroyed.
The project will provide plant, assistance for volunteers for taking care of the plants, workshop for making aware on global warming and transportation of plant to different places.
The project will plans to help people of 100 villages with native plant that will protect soil erosion, water population and provide habitat for wildlife. Also protect environment so that the farers will improve production.
