Plant a Tree in Palestine

As the hot summer sets in, planting season is over in Palestine. We are proud to share that with your support, we were able to plant 3,080 olive saplings and 800 grape seedlings in 18 different villages across the occupied West Bank from December 2022 to March 2023.

"The Plant a Tree in Palestine, is a powerful tool of Palestinian resistance and serves three key functions:

Building Solidarity: Planting trees within affected communities conveys a strong sense of international solidarity, of people not being alone and forgotten, building Palestinian Sumoud.

Reclaiming the Land: Farmers being supported to plant trees counters the Israeli drive to detach people from their land.

Benefiting the Environment: There is also an environmental dimension in Palestinian farmers’ determination to plant trees in the same sites again. Farmers fear that leaving the land uncultivated will result in soil erosion and desertification in the long-term."

Palestinian farmers continue to face enormous obstacles from the Israeli occupation and illegal settlers. Your support for this project replaces some of the trees that have been burned or uprooted. As the number of attacks on people and their land increases, we have to do more to support Palestinian farmers and hope you will join us in continuing to provide practical support through the Plant a Tree in Palestine project as well as advocate for Palestinian rights in other ways.
