As part of Alkhidmat Foundation’s ongoing Green and Clean Pakistan initiative, a successful plantation drive was conducted at UET Peshawar, Jalozai Campus, Nowshera. This environmental activity was organized with the enthusiastic involvement of student volunteers and youth groups who came together with a shared commitment to promoting sustainability and combating climate change.
During the drive, more than 300 saplings were planted in and around the campus. These included a variety of native and fruit-bearing trees aimed at not only improving the campus environment but also contributing to the local ecosystem’s health.
The plantation drive emphasized the importance of youth-led climate action and community-driven sustainability efforts. Through these green initiatives, Alkhidmat encourages long-term environmental stewardship and aims to create awareness about the pressing need for collective action to protect natural resources.
This event not only reflects Alkhidmat’s dedication to environmental conservation but also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
Such activities continue to inspire the younger generation to take ownership of their environment and become proactive agents of change for a greener and cleaner Pakistan.
